From 8–10 June, representatives of the Quality Agency for Higher Education (AIKA) participated in a workshop and the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) in Split, Croatia.

The Head of AIKA, Jolanta Silka, took part in the panel discussion “CEENQA from the Perspective of Internal and External Stakeholders.” She noted:

“One of CEENQA’s greatest strengths is its ability to translate broad European quality assurance developments into practical discussions among agencies that often operate in very different national contexts but face remarkably similar challenges.”

As part of the seminar, several agencies presented practical examples of their best practices in the digital transformation of external quality assurance, showcasing tools, methodologies, and innovations implemented across different countries in the region.

AIKA representative Ralfs Meždreijs participated in this session with a presentation of the AIKA e-platform (eplatforma.aika.lv), highlighting it as a unique solution developed specifically for AIKA to support the entire assessment process cycle and facilitate the management of data and documentation for all stakeholders involved.

This session demonstrated the diversity of approaches and the shared commitment to enhancing quality assurance processes through digital solutions. AIKA’s presentation was particularly well received.
