In order to apply for the assessment of the study direction, the higher education institution or college shall submit to AIKA an application on the accreditation of the study direction signed by the rector of the higher education institution or the director of the college, and the self-assessment report, which have been prepared in compliance with the Guidelines for the Preparation of the Self-Assessment Report of a Study Direction, as designed by AIKA.

In order to prepare the self-assessment report, the higher education institution or college shall establish a team for the preparation of the self-assessment report, which shall be composed of the representative of the administration of the higher education institution or college, the representatives of the higher education institution or college responsible for the implementation of the study direction and the relevant study programmes, the representatives of the teaching staff, at least one representative of the students, and the representatives of the employers and/or social partners.

The higher education institution or college shall submit the application electronically and sign it with a secure electronic signature, in compliance with the provisions of the Electronic Documents Law. The application and the documents attached thereto shall be submitted in the official language and a translation into English thereof. In the event of any disputes the documents prepared in the official language shall prevail.

AIKA shall review the application and the documents attached thereto and, if necessary, request the missing information in writing.
