The aim of the on-site visit is to gain as much information as possible for the expert to be able to carry out a comprehensive and unbiased assessment of changes to the study direction.

To carry out the assessment of changes to the study direction, AIKA shall approve one expert for each study programme subject to changes.

AIKA shall inform the higher education institution or college about the expert and the AIKA representative who shall coordinate the assessment procedure. The higher education institution or college may reject the expert by submitting a justified written application to AIKA specifying the reasons for the rejection. AIKA shall review the application of the higher education institution or college. In the event that the application is found justified, another expert shall be approved, and the higher education institution or college shall be informed thereof.

The AIKA coordinator shall prepare the agenda of the on-site assessment visit and coordinate it with the expert and the higher education institution or college.

During the on-site visit, the higher education institution or college shall ensure meetings with all groups of representatives of the higher education institution or college and provide access to all resources required to assess the admissibility of the changes.
