On 25th April 2024, the Quality Agency for Higher Education (AIKA) organised a webinar on the progress of the evaluation and accreditation of study fields and the current developments.

During the event, the latest developments in the process of evaluation and accreditation of study fields were presented by Jolanta Silka, Head of the Quality Agency for Higher Education, Mārtiņš Upmacis, Deputy Director of the Higher Education, Science and Innovation Department of the Ministry of Education and Science, Inese Paudere, Senior Expert of the Education Content Department, Education Content Support Unit, National Centre for Education, Ilva Grigorjeva, Head of Quality Assessment Unit, Quality Agency for Higher Education, and Asnate Upmace, Head of Development and International Cooperation Unit, Quality Agency for Higher Education.

The webinar was well attended, with more than eighty participants – representatives of higher education institutions as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Employers’ Confederation of Latvia and the Student Union of Latvia.

The interest shown by the participants during the webinar and the evaluation given after the event confirm the need to continue organising such and similar events in the future.
