AIKA launches workshop series on enhancing internal quality assurance systems

In September, the Quality Agency for Higher Education (AIKA) is launching a series of three workshops “Internal Quality Assurance System as a Strategic Development Tool: Assessment, Priorities and Targeted Improvements”, bringing together representatives of higher education institutions and colleges.
The workshop series is organised within the framework of the ESF project “Introduction of Cyclical Institutional Accreditation in Higher Education”. Its aim is to promote the exchange of experience and peer learning, so that internal quality assurance systems serve not only as a means of ensuring compliance with requirements, but also as a practical basis for informed decision-making, setting priorities and institutional development.
The series will take place in three consecutive stages, with each workshop building on the outcomes of the previous one:
- Formulating key challenges
- Expert experience and responses
- From experience to recommendations
The first workshop will take place on 24–25 September. During the workshop, participants will draw on their institutional experience to identify the key challenges they face in the area of internal quality assurance and formulate questions to be explored throughout the subsequent stages of the series, drawing on the experience of Latvian and international experts, as well as other higher education institutions and colleges.
The invitation and information on the registration procedure have been sent individually to representatives of all higher education institutions and colleges.
