Seminar

In September AIKA and the Student Union of Latvia (LSA) organized a training for new and existing students-experts that have expressed their interest in participating in quality assurance procedures of study fields in higher education institutions. Theoretical part of the training focused on the Bologna process, system of higher education in Latvia and its Quality assurance processes. While the practical part of the training allowed students to get acquainted with the structure of the Self-Assessment Report, prepare questions for the representatives of higher education institutions and try to formulate recommendations for improving the quality of studies.

This training is especially important, because of the currently ongoing study field evaluation in Latvian higher education institutions. Evaluation is conducted by independent groups of experts where one of the members is delegated by LSA and has the same rights and responsibilities as other members.
