On 17 July 2020 the General Assembly of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) took place. The Head of the Quality Agency for Higher Education (AIKA) Jolanta Silka was elected as a member of the CEENQA Board.

The re-election of the Head of AIKA on the Board of CEENQA confirms the appreciation of other countries for AIKA’s achievements and that its opinion is important on the international level.

Mrs. Silka notes that especially now when the pandemia has brought various changes, participation in international neworks is crucial in order to learn together and find innovative solutions to ensure the quality in higher education despite the various obstacles.

AIKA inspires other new agencies with its example, as in five years of operation it has been able to move from a newly established agency to a full member of ENQA, become listed on the EQAR register and achieve general recognition.

CEENQA is a non-governmental non-profit organization with the aim of promoting cooperation between member organizations in the development and harmonization of their quality assurance activities and quality improvement in Central and Eastern Europe, thus contributing to the development and implementation of the European Higher Education Area.
